ARNET'S Inc. - About Our People

Caryl Arnet is the President of Arnet's Inc. She has been involved with Arnet’s Monument Co. since 1985. The first monument created by the Arnet family was made in 1888. Arnet’s in Ann Arbor, MI was founded by Caryl’s grandfather, Joseph Arnet . Caryl’s father, Larry Arnet, took over the company in 1953. In 1997, Caryl became the President of the company, with her sister being the Vice-President.

She earned her degree in business management from Washtenaw Community College in 1998. Caryl has two grown children, and loves gardening and music.

Caryl Arnet is also involved with the Vietnam Veterans of Washtenaw County and the Arbor Hospice.

Since 1997, Caryl has made many improvements to Arnet’s, including the remodeling of the offices & showroom and purchasing more uniquely shaped memorials. She strives to offer the public monuments that are truly customized. She has been quite successful in her efforts. Caryl believes she offers some things that funeral homes and cemeterians don’t. Her dedication to uniqueness and custom work, along with her many years of experience in the field make her a woman with a lot to offer. Arnet’s also carries urns, custom-made signs and quality cemetery accessories.

Martha has been involved with Arnet’s Inc. since 1978 in the capacity of office help which began during her senior year at Dexter High School.

Martha took time out to raise her family. She has one child that is currently employed at the company along with her husband Floyd.

She came back strong in 1993; Martha has progressed to sales and loves every aspect of it. She became Vice President when her father retired. Martha excels in designing memorials on the computer with her clients. She states that, “Customizing is fun and staying out of the box is even better.”

Claire Sawicki is both a secretary and memorial counselor with Arnets since 1987.

She started out as secretary to Larry Arnet, Caryl Arnet's father and president at that time. She has progressed to sales for approximately the last 10 years and she absolutely loves dealing with families during this trying time.

Claire has been happily married for 40 years to her teenage sweetheart. They have 2 wonderful children and 5 grandchildren.
Claire loves spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and travel.
